Lake Guntersville and Wilson Lake
Information-
Catch and Release:
I strongly promote Catch & Release. If you catch a nice fish that you would like to mount, I recommend that a replica be made.
Fishing License:
Licenses are not included in the price of the trip. You must provide your own fishing license, which is required by law. You can get one for a $3.95 fee by calling 1-888-848-6887 or a 2% fee if done online at http://www.outdooralabama.com/fishing/freshwater/license/. Children under 16 are not required to have a license. Most tackle shops around the ramps provide fishing license also. Please let me know ahead of time if you need a fishing license.
Equipment:
I can provide all rods, tackle, and life vests. Most people like to use their own rods because they are more comfortable using their own equipment. So if that’s the case, you are welcome to just use tackle. I will also have some snack food and drinks, but if you have any special items you like, you may want to bring them.
Items to bring:
Fishing license, rain suit, and appropriate clothing for the weather
Please bring extra clothing when it is cold outside or a chance of bad weather
Severe Weather:
Weather can be unpredictable, including thunderstorms, lightning, heavy rain, and winds. Safety is a number one priority to me, so we can wait out a passing storm at a local tackle shop if needed. We may have to make other arrangements, such as rescheduling for another day.
Meeting Instructions:
After a trip has been booked, I will contact you a few days ahead of time to determine the best fishing ramp to launch from. It will depend on which lake we are fishing and where the best fish are at the time. We will also set up a good meeting time between us.
